Anna is a licensed therapist and certified trauma sensitive yoga facilitator. In addition to seeing clients for therapy and yoga, she serves as an adjunct faculty member and supervisor for the Center for Trauma and Embodiment at the Justice Resource Institute. She offers workshops and professional trainings across the United States and internationally to help healthcare providers, educators, mental health professionals, yoga teachers, and body workers better understand the impacts of trauma and implement trauma-informed practices in their work. Her approach to therapy, yoga and education draws from a background in neuroscience, continued education in mental health and psychology, and a lifelong commitment to better understanding human suffering, health and healing.
Anna has worked in the United States and Thailand as a mental health provider supporting individuals and families through a variety of personal, interpersonal, and mental health challenges. Her past experiences include clinical positions at The Trauma Center, Justice Resource Institute, The Boston Center, Arbour Counseling Services, Boston Institute for Psychoanalysis, Prospect Hill Academy, Bromsgrove International School, and Boston Neurofeedback Center. She has also held research positions at Harvard Medical School, Boston Medical Center, Veterans Administration Hospital, Brandeis University and the National Institutes of Health.
Completed Levels 1 and 2 of EMDR training through EMDR Consulting
Completed nine-month certificate program in traumatic stress through The Trauma Center
Completed 2-day advanced training on using TF-CBT with special populations with Dr. Jessica Griffin
Completed training through The Trauma Center in a unique and original trauma treatment framework known as ARC
Completed training through The Trauma Center's SMART program
Completed introductory and intermediate courses in Neurofeedback and EEG Spectrum training under Ed Hamlin from the Institute for Applied Neuroscience.
Completed 7 month certificate program in Trauma Center Trauma Sensitive Yoga (TCTSY) to become certified facilitator of TCTSY. This model of yoga is an empirically validated adjunct treatment for complex trauma and is recognized as an Evidence Based Treatment.
